Tabox Player: how to fix a broken EPG and adjust the time shift
Most EPG glitches boil down to an outdated XMLTV file, the wrong time zone, or a changed playlist URL. Follow these quick steps:
1 | Refresh the guide manually
Go to LIVE TV › ︙ › Refresh TV Guide – Tabox downloads a fresh XMLTV file.
2 | Enable the full guide
Toggle Settings › General › Show Full EPG to ON.
3 | Correct the clock with EPG Time Shift
Path: Settings › EPG › EPG Time Shift
| Symptom | Adjustment |
| Guide is 1 h late | –1 h |
| Guide is 2 h ahead | +2 h |
If your Android TV time zone is already GMT + 3 (Vilnius/Helsinki), leave the shift at 0 h.
4 | Hide channels without guide data
Settings › EPG › EPG Timeline → Show Channels only with EPG.
5 | Let Tabox update EPG automatically
Settings › Automation › Auto-Update EPG → ON.
Quick reference table
| Action | Path | What it solves |
| Manual refresh | LIVE TV › ︙ › Refresh TV Guide | Downloads new XMLTV |
| Full guide | Settings › General › Show Full EPG | Loads EPG for all channels |
| Time shift | Settings › EPG › EPG Time Shift | Corrects wrong hours |
| Hide empty | Settings › EPG › EPG Timeline | Removes blank rows |
| Auto-update | Settings › Automation › Auto-Update EPG | Keeps guide fresh daily |
Result: after these five tweaks, your Tabox Player EPG should be perfectly timed, fully populated and updated every day. If issues persist, ask your IPTV provider for a valid XMLTV link and repeat step 1.
